This picture was taken on December 22, 2008 out on the Sauk Prairie. Thought it was quite pretty with the old barn in the background. Thought you might like to add it to your website. The snow caused the barn to collapse a few days later. |

Here is the final cleared trail after cross cut sawing the windfall from this spot about 3 miles up the North Fork Sauk trail. Two photos below show the changes as the Darrington trail crew removed this obstacle. |

A bit of windfall blocking the North Fork Sauk trail on the way to Red Creek. Because this is Glacier Peak Wilderness, this problem will be removed using only a cross cut saw and hand tools. Hike the trail later this season and see how it looks. |
